The founder and chief executive officer of Telegram, the famous encrypted application company, said on Wednesday that the service had been attacked electronically and noted that China might be responsible for it.

Pavel Durov, founder and chairman of Russian social network VK, said in twitter that the service was exposed to a strong attack of DDoS attacks from IP addresses mainly from China which resulted in partial or total service interruption.

On the other hand, the Chinese authorities had previously denied accusations of cyber attacks, stressing that China was often the target of external attacks.
