Because many users download and test more apps and games on their phone but they do not use it. The Google Play store has started sending new alerts to users reminding them to remove unnecessary apps that they may have downloaded and discarded for years.

Clicking on the notification will move users to the Google Play store to see their apps list. Each app comes with a description of its size and when it was last used, allowing users to uninstall all games and apps that have not been opened for a long time.

The alert sends users the possibility to free up some of the internal storage space of the Android operating system by deleting unused applications.
