Tens of thousands of web sites around the world have suffered downtime due to a failure at Cloudflare. According to the company, it is currently trying to fix the problem and monitor the results and performance of the network, with the warning that the page appeared error “502” when people try to access the sites.

Cloudflare provides cloud computing services to millions of people, which means that it is not possible to access many websites at the moment. Among those that are not fully accessible is the Down Detector, which tracks the interruptions, meaning that people can not even tell if the website they want to visit is working.

“We have seen a huge jump in the CPU, disrupting basic and secondary systems, and stopping the process that caused this huge jump in the CPU, and we are now investigating the root cause of what happened,” said Cloudflare.
