LG makes connecting to smart home appliances more convenient with voice Recognition in New ThinQ™ mobile application – formerly known as SmartThinQ – and gives Users the Power to Control and Monitor LG Products Using Natural Language.
This first-of-its-kind mobile app manages smart home devices using English, taking advantage of the voice recognition technology provided by Google Assistant to manage all LG home devices that support wireless connectivity over Wi-Fi.
These include washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, vacuum cleaners, air conditioners and air purifiers.
ThinQ offers users the ultimate ease of controlling and monitoring their devices through voice commands that take the form of a natural conversation.
To reach unprecedented levels of comfort in life within the smart home, the app shows the actual state at the same moment, for all LG connected devices with just one thing.
ThinQ allows the user to ask orally from their desk to know the remaining time of the cycle of the washing machine at home or to adjust the temperature of the air conditioner at home by driving towards him without having to look at his phone and to stop driving.
ThinQ also provides useful information about the functions and features of the device, alerts the user to the need for a specific maintenance and helps him to troubleshoot the causes of the devices and how to repair them.
The user can ask how the automatic air purifier function works? Or what does the yellow light refrigerator mean? Get an instant voice response from the app.
Not only does ThinQ provide answers to most common questions about device usage, but it is smart enough to generate a report on its recent usage activity to provide useful tips for improving home life.
ThinQ is available from this month in Korea, followed by its launch in North America in the fourth quarter and the main markets in Europe next year.
