Charlie Owen, a former Microsoft employee and current director of Oracle Technical Programs, opened the Windows Media Center SDK GitHub repository. On his personal page on GitHub.
Charlie Owen claims that the motivation is to keep some history for the expatriates who created Windows Media Center (the “eHome” team from Microsoft). An initiative that would satisfy the lovers of this forgotten day.
Windows Media Center is a system that brings together many of the company’s applications, such as the Microsoft Media Player and Viewer, which was released in autumn 2002 through a special version of Windows XP (Windows XP Media Center Edition).
The program has long been one of the best digital entertainment systems available in the market before Microsoft decided to abandon it.
