Twitter revealed late Thursday that hackers had targeted about 130 accounts during the cyber attack this week, in which personal files of many prominent personalities and organizations were hacked.

Notable hacked accounts also included rapper Kanye West, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, investor Warren Buffett, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, and corporate accounts for Uber and Apple. Twitter repeated that it works with affected account holders.

The FBI’s San Francisco department is leading an investigation into piracy, as several Washington lawmakers have also called for an explanation of how the breach occurred. And law enforcement agency: The cyber attackers committed frauds to obtain digital currencies in the accident. Publicly available blockchain records show that scammers received more than $ 100,000 in cryptocurrency.

“We are still in the process of evaluating the long-term steps that we may take and we will share more details as soon as possible,” Twitter added in its statement.
