The password can be very annoying, especially if you have many different accounts, and eventually something will replace it, as many modern smartphones already use a face or fingerprint scanner. But for now, we need to use it, and that means you need to know how to create a strong, unique password to protect your accounts.

             Why are strong and complex passwords important?

A strong password is a password that is difficult for a hacker to know or overcome, and in general, the longer and more complex your password, the stronger it is.

The word weak is a simple word that can be found simply because it can be a simple and commonly used phrase such as (letmein) or (password123). Hackers have long lists of commonly used passwords, and using something like this is like having no password at all.

There are some common methods hackers use to crack passwords, and they tend to work best with short, simple passwords.

If your password is a little more complicated – it’s not a word or a number or a symbol – the hacker will not have access to your account.

               How to create a secure password:

• Make it long: the longer your password, the better, as many websites require passwords of at least eight characters (some allow six or more), but unless the site does limit the maximum length of the password, you should make it at least 12 characters.
• Use a mix of upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols.
• If you use a password manager – you must use a password manager – you can let it automatically generate a long, strong password.
• Never reuse your password – it should always be unique.
• Do not use symbol replacements, such as the @ symbol for the letter A. This is not smart and can be easily guessed with hack tools that automatically try these types of alternatives.
• Do not use common words or phrases such as passwords (qwerty) or passwords that have personal meaning to you, such as the names of your family members.

No matter how complex your password is, you should never reuse it, it is possible that all your accounts are hacked by a common word.
