Honor has announced the Magic 3, its first flagship smartphone after splitting from its previous parent company, Huawei.
The lineup consists of three phones, Magic 3, Magic 3 Pro and Magic 3 Pro Plus.
The phones are issued in China first. But the company made it clear that there is a global version of these phones issued at a later time.
And when they’re launched globally, the phones come with Google apps and services, which the company wasn’t able to include previously when it was a subsidiary of Huawei due to US sanctions.
Google’s apps and services are supposed to make the Magic 3 series more competitive outside of China. This is compared to its previous phones released when it was affiliated with Huawei, which had to rely on Huawei services and AppGallery to download software.
The Magic 3 Pro and Magic 3 Pro Plus phones are powered by the Snapdragon 888 Plus processor. While Magic 3 has a Snapdragon 888 processor.
The phones have a 6.76-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1344 pixels with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a curvature around the sides of the device.
The rear cameras differ greatly between the three phones. The Magic 3 has three lenses, a 50MP main lens, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 64MP monochrome lens.
